刘晓波 （ 1955年 12月28日 － ）是生于 吉林 长春 的 中国 作家 、 持不同政见者 、著名 政治犯 ，曾任 北京师范大学 中文系讲师、 独立中文笔会 第二届、第三届会长。2010年度他 获得诺贝尔和平奖 ，以表彰他长期以来以非暴力方式在中国争取基本人权。 [1] [2] 刘晓波是除了 达赖喇嘛 之外，首位获得诺贝尔奖的中华人民共和国公民 [注 1] 。 他曾经参与 八九民运 ，并在2008年发起《 零八宪章 》。 六四 之后著书立说呼吁政治改革，并多次被捕入狱，长期以来以非暴力方式争取 中国基本人权 ” [1] 。最后一次入狱是在2009年被控 煽动颠覆国家政权罪 ，判处 有期徒刑 11年， 剥夺政治权利 2年，目前在 辽宁省锦州监狱 服刑，预期出狱日期为 2020年 6月21日 。他的妻子 刘霞 在他获得诺贝尔和平奖之后也一度被软禁。
